When We Ask, Spirit Answers

There are moments in life when something deep within us becomes clear.

A quiet knowing rises beneath the noise of everyday life.

We realize we are ready for something more. Ready to understand why we are here. Ready to follow the path our soul has been whispering about.

Sometimes, all we have to do is ask.

Show me.

Guide me.

Help me remember why I am here.

Recently, I did just that.

I set an intention that Spirit would guide me toward my destiny and my soul's mission. I asked to be shown the people, opportunities, and connections that could help me bring what I feel called to do into the world.

And then, Spirit answered.

It happened on an airplane.

I met two people who, in a remarkably short time, offered exactly the insight, encouragement, and practical guidance I needed. They helped me see possibilities I hadn't been able to see clearly before.

Could it have been coincidence?

I don't believe in such a thing, I believe in synchronicity.

There is something about synchronistic encounters that feel different. A sense of timing. A sense of rightness. A feeling that these people had appeared in my path for a reason.

This is what synchronicity feels like.

Spirit doesn't always arrive with fireworks or unmistakable signs. Sometimes the sacred enters through the ordinary.

Sometimes it looks like a conversation with a stranger.

Sometimes it is a person who says exactly what you needed to hear.

Sometimes it is a door opening just as you were wondering how you would ever find your way through.

Spirit is always speaking.

The question is whether you are listening. Maybe you are unsure of how to listen.

In the shamanic tradition, we are reminded that you and I are in relationship with Spirit, with our guides, with nature, with one another, and with the unseen forces moving through our lives.

But first, we have to become available to that guidance and truly learn to listen.

We have to ask.

And then comes the part that makes all the difference:

Trust.

Trust that you don't have to see the entire path before taking the next step.

Trust that not every answer will arrive on your determined timeline.

Trust that the people who cross your path may carry a message, a lesson, an opportunity—or an invitation to step more fully into who you are becoming.

This doesn't mean we sit back and wait for life to happen.

Spirit meets us in motion.

We still have to make the call, walk through the door, take the risk, and do the work.

But perhaps you don't have to do it all alone. 

Sometimes we simply need a space to communicate more deeply. A space to open up about our spiritual encounters without fear of judgement.

A space to ask the bigger questions:

Why am I here?

What is my soul asking me to remember?

What gifts am I meant to bring into the world?

What is Spirit guiding me toward next?

These are soul questions.

And a shamanic reading can offer the sacred space to explore them.

It isn't about having your future predetermined or being handed every answer.

It is about looking beneath the surface, listening for the deeper threads of your journey, and gaining insight into the patterns, gifts, and possibilities that may be unfolding in your life.

Sometimes the reading is about confirming what you already know to be true, and is a way to say yes to it.

When I look back at that airplane journey, I don't just see two strangers I happened to meet.

I see synchronicity.

I see Spirit responding to me in a clear, connected way that shows me just how supported I am. 

And I am reminded that guidance may be much closer than we think.
