The Secret To Finding the Perfect Plan After 40

Today I want to share with you the secret I discovered that made all the difference for weight loss after I turned 40.

A decade ago I was thrilled with losing 70 pounds and that weight stayed off, until I hit my 40's.

Then all of a sudden what I had been doing no longer worked, my weight slowly crept back on, my body began to hurt and my hormones went a little wacky!

Are you thinking about swimsuit season yet? If you haven't started thinking about it yet, you might be soon. 

The department stores have the swimsuits isles up, the ads are in the papers, my email box is filled with deals, which by the way I am thankful for because I got the cutest swimsuits for my girls, plus matching beach bags and towels! Anyhow we are reminded that summer is coming, and it will be here before you know it! 

This season I'm going in a bit more confident, and I want to help you do the same!  I recently lost about 20 pounds and went down about two pant sizes, I am feeling better than I have in a long time. Like you I get stressed, and hyper-focused on work and life, and forget about my own needs.

Jen's Top 4 Essentials to Lose Weight and Keep it Off


If you were on Monday's Facebook Live (catch the replay above) you may have heard me talk about the importance of focusing on the essentials to get to your weight loss goals.

By now you may have tapered off in losing weight, usually by March the once overpacked January gym is empty again, not to say that you haven't continued, if you have that's amazing and I'm super proud of you, AND let's keep going! But for the majority this is what happens. We have likely lost focus of the essentials.


We set big goals, go ALL-IN, change all of our habits, adopt this "New Year, New Me" motto, then boom we get burnt out and our intensity and focus fizzle out.


What if you didn't need a "new me," what if the "old" you is perfect just as she is, but maybe needs a few tweaks to get her to her goal? 

I personally love to operate from a place of empowerment, the achiever, the goal setter and accomplisher....even if it takes me a little longer than expected.

WARNING: Mercury Retrograde Could Send You into an Emotional Eating Frenzy!


Have you felt it, the overwhelm, the added stress and extra sensations to go run and cry in the closet? We can thank this Mercury Retrograde in Pisces for touchy feeling everything, and heightened sensitivities for at least the next three weeks. 

I have been an emotional, tear filled sensitive on cue since Mercury went into Retrograde on March 5th, I'm usually ready for the technology fail and frustrations, but THIS, is an entirely new level of feels. 

You can expect to feel highly overwhelmed over the slightest issues and deeply emotional.

I don't know about you but this sensitive empath goes running for the fridge, and late night binge eating ensues. So rather than gain an added ten pounds this retrograde, I thought I'd share how we can manage all these extra emotions and cope with the extra stress, and feelings of overwhelm with ease, rather than eating Ben and Jerry's.
